The Business Orientation Days is an annual event organized jointly by the Financial Study association Amsterdam (FSA) and the Association of Students Actuarial Sciences and Econometrics (VSAE). Here you can read some more information about the event itself, the location and the committee that organizes this event.
The Business Orientation Days (BOD) is a two-day career event, organized primarily for students with interests in finance, economics, business administration or a quantitative field of study, such as econometrics. The BOD takes place in Amsterdam and is hosted by two study associations: the Financial Study association Amsterdam (FSA) and the Association of Students Actuarial Sciences and Econometrics (VSAE). More information on the organization can be found here.
The BOD aims to connect students with leading companies, in order to meet their potential future employer and/or to orientate themselves. Yearly, around 40 leading companies are present at the BOD and more than 700 students sign up for the event.
This year, the 23nd edition will take place on Tuesday October 6 and Wednesday October 7. The event is held in the Royal Tropical Institute (Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen). More information about the location can be found here. To give an impression of last years BOD, take a look at the participated companies.
The event offers seven different activities:
- Barista Workshops
- Individual Meetings
- Company Lunches
- Company Dinners
- Career Fair & General Lunch / Drinks
For all participating students and companies, we offer a fully catered lunch, free-of-charge. If you’re planning to participate in a morning activity, stick around for lunch and come in contact with other companies as well!
To end the BOD on a good note, we will also have drinks afterwards on both days. Relax while having a drink and a bite, surrounded by some live music and great company! During the lunch and drinks the participating companies will each have their own stand, so feel free to strike up a casual conversation with one of them!
If you are a student, you can sign up for the event in September.
